It really makes no sense. The Mobile Armory was infinitely more polished and functional (hyperbole for emphasis) than this thing we have now. So much, in fact, that I personally paid the extra $3 per month for it when it first came out.

Edit: A lot of people seem to think it comes down to money, but the replacement doesn't generate any revenue either. In fact, all they would have needed to do is add a button to the Mobile AH to 'buy WoW tokens' and voila, a greater chance to increase revenue. Hell, they could throw the Black Market AH on mobile and make a killing on tokens. But they haven't. There is zero revenue being generated from the replacement app.
